Jameh Mosque:
It is situated adjacent to the center of the town of Yazd, which was founded in the 12th century. However, what stands on the site today is the new mosque built later.
Yazd Jameh Mosque is a fine model of the Azari style of Persian architecture which is crowned by a pair of minarets, the highest in Iran, and the portal’s facade is decorated from top to bottom in dazzling tile work, predominantly blue in color.
A distinguishing feature of Iranian mosques is the emphasis on tall entry portals that is crowned with two lofty minarets for added effect. Another important structural feature of the Yazd Jameh Mosque is the dome of the prayer chamber which consists of two domes: a dome inside a dome, with a space of a half meter separating them at their base.
Dolat Abad Garden: (07:30-17:30, to 22:00 in summer) It was built around 1750 as a residence of Karim Khan and is registered on UNESCO list of Persian Gardens. Lari House: The 150-year-old Lari House, built in 19th century is one of the best-preserved Qajar-era houses. It was mansion of a wealthy merchant family in Yazd. The house is built around an inner court and has stained glass doors and window and elegant archways and alcoves mark it out as one of the city’s grandest homes.

Alexander's Prison: (08:00-sunset, 08:00-13:00 & 16:00-sunset summer) Alexander's prison is a 15th century domed school, located next to the tourist office in the old town of Yazd, which was mentioned in Hafez poems as a dastardly palace.

Alexander's Prison contains a deep, circular and brick-lined pit which is almost 10 meters in diameter resembling an ancient dungeon. It is worth visiting this small display on the old city of Yazd.
Amir Chakhmaq Complex: (07:30-14:30 Sat-Thu) Amir Chakhmaq Complex is a well-known structure in Yazd because of its prominent structure which has a three-storey elaborate facade of symmetrical sunken arched alcoves that is the largest such structure in Iran.
The complex also houses a caravanserai, a Hosseinieh (a place where religious mourning rituals are held), a public bath, a cold water well, and a confectionery.

Fire Temple: (08:00-noon & 15:00-18:00 Sat-Thu) Yazd Fire temple is one of the most famous fire temples in the world for Zoroastrians, who believe it's sacred eternal flames have been burning since about 470 AD.
The flames of Yazd fire Temple are visible through s window from the entrance hall. The flame was transferred to Ardakan in 1147, then to Yazd in 1474 and to its current site where they present up to now.

Tower of Silence: (24 hr) These evocative Zoroastrian Towers of Silence are omn two hilltops on the southern outskirts of Yazd.
In the Zoroastrian tradition, once a body ceases to live; it can immediately be contaminated by demons and made impure. To prevent this infiltration, Zoroastrians purified the dead body by exposing it to the elements and local fowl on top of flat-topped towers in the desert called dakhmas.
