As the border town between Iran and Turkey, Bazargan is one of the most important Iranian ground border for importing and exporting. The town is very modest and mainly serves as an enter/exit point for travelers who would want to cross the border by land. Usually there are lots of heavy trucks, passenger buses, and passenger's car in Bazargan.
About 2 km short of the immigration posts, the village ends at the outer border gate. Most visitors don't stay the night.
Neighboring with Azerbaijan, Turkey and Iraq Republic countries has led western Azerbaijan province, particularly Bazargan border, to become one of the major centers for traffic of goods and passenger through road transportation fleet. Bazargan border terminal is the main gate for Iran and Europe trade and in fact is one of the major Asia- Europe connection rings.
