There are a couple ways to Maku:

By Airplane :

Closest Airports are tabriz and Orumyeh airports. From there you have to take private taxi or bus to get to Maku.

By Train:

Train is another practical and perhaps much cheaper and comfortable option to get to Maku. Best option is to take Tehran, Tabriz Salmas Train.

By Bus:

You can take bus from either Tehran, Tabriz or Orumieh to get to Maku. Buses are pretty regular with multiple departures every day. Booking your ticket ahead of time is necessary. Ticket price varies based on the bus (some are more comfortable and luxurious than others) but generally regardless of where is your origin the tickets are less than 10 USD.

By Taxi:

That is a good option if you are in hurry or you like to take some detours and go see some off the beaten path places along the way. Either way, this is however the most expensive option you may. Fare vary but you should count on a 50 USD daily for car plus driver.
